May 19, 2023 XII International Forum of Young Scientists “Youth and Science” was held at Belarusian Trade and Economics University of Consumer Cooperatives. More than 60 scientific articles by scientists from 25 Belarusian and foreign HEIs, as well as organizations of Belarus, Russian Federation, Tajikistan, Kazakhstan, Georgia, Israel, Morocco and Lebanon were presented at the forum. A welcoming speech was delivered by Vice-Rector for Research Bahrantsava Katsiaryna, as well as representatives of Voronezh branch of Russian University of Economics named after G.V. Plekhanov, Siberian University of Consumer Cooperatives, Karaganda University of Kazpotrebsoyuz and President of Dima Maghrib Association (Morocco). During the plenary session, reports of colleagues and young scientists from Voronezh branch of Russian University of Economics named after G.V. Plekhanov, Azrieli Engineering College (Jerusalem) and Siberian University of Consumer Cooperatives were presented.
May 16-17, 2023 BTEU hosted XIII International Championship of StartUp projects “Youth and Entrepreneurship-2023” which was attended by student teams from Belarus, Russia, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan and Turkmenistan. According to the results of the championship, all teams received diplomas in various nominations.
February 22, 2023 a binary German-Russian video lesson for 3rd year students of BTEU of the specialty “Global Economics” and students of graduating classes of Gyula Trebitsch Schule Tonndorf in Hamburg, Federal Republic of Germany was held at the premises of BTEU under supervision of Associate Professor Vishnevetskaya L. and teacher of Russian, German and French languages Svetlana Weimer. The purpose of the lesson was to develop foreign language communicative competence of its participants. Belarusian students got acquainted with cultural potential of Hamburg, its landmarks and gastronomic delights. German schoolchildren watched a presentation about Belarusian youth, their areas of activity and hobbies, and took part in a quiz. Participants expressed their desire to continue international cooperation in an interactive format.
February 6, 2023 in terms of implementation of international cooperation agreement student of BTEU Toplenkina Veronika visited Murmansk Cooperative College (Russian Federation) with the aim of conducting career guidance among college students. During the visit she introduced college students to possibilities of continuing education at BTEU including distance education.
January 19, 2023, Belarusian Trade and Economics University of Consumer Cooperatives hosted an official foreign delegation from India and China.
Qi Ji, Director of Chinai Consulting (China), Vinukonda Raja Ram, Director of Medico Ebroad Consultants (India), and Liu Jiwei, Director of Shijiazhuang Medical College (China) visited the University.
An official signing of cooperation agreements took place during the visit. The parties also discussed areas of International cooperation. As a result of the negotiations the parties reached an agreement on implementatuion a Joint Degree Programme for Chinease students in the area of Economics and Management. 
December 20, 2022, a plenary session of the International Scientific Internet Conference for Students and Undergraduates “Actual Problems of Global Economics and Management” was held at Belarusian Trade and Economics University of Consumer Cooperatives. It was dedicated to the 25th anniversary of the Department of World and National Economy.
More than 70 abstracts from the universities of Russia, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan were submitted to this conference. At the plenary session, students made presentations on the functioning of the modern securities market in Belarus, the development of the global factoring market, the practice of socially responsible entrepreneurship, and the assessment of the level of happiness of the population of various countries of the world.
December 14-16, 2022, Rector of the University, Doctor of Economics, Professor Sviatlana Lebedzeva and Head of the International Relations Department Aksana Smirnova took part in the III International Scientific and Practical Conference “Cooperation and Sustainable Development” dedicated to celebration of 110 years of patriotism and love for the Motherland, which was held at Russian University of Cooperation (Russian Federation).
The Rector of the university delivered a welcoming speech to the participants of the conference at the plenary session, and also led the section “Innovative solutions to the problems of modern society in scientists’ research”. 25 researchers from Belarusian Trade and Economic University of Consumer Cooperatives took part in the conference with scientific publications.
December 15, 2022, a meeting of the Coordinating Council of the Network University “Cooperation” and International Public Organization “Council of Rectors of Universities of Consumer Cooperatives of CIS Countries” was also held. During the meeting partners discussed results of work in 2022, as well as prospects and directions for further development of activities in 2023 with the aim of implementation of the Strategic Directions for the Development of Eurasian Economic Integration until 2025.

September 06, 2022 BTEU delegation took part in International round table, which was held at Russian University of Cooperation (Moscow) on the topic “Discussion of priorities for development of innovation-oriented and international activities of higher education institutions and prospects for activities of network university “Cooperation”.

May 19, 2022 the XI International Forum of Young Scientists “Youth in Science and Entrepreneurship” was held at Belarusian Trade and Economic University of Consumer Cooperatives. It was attended by 130 representatives from educational institutions of the Republic of Belarus, the Russian Federation, the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Republic of Tajikistan.
After the formal opening of the Forum a plenary session was held, at which main reports were presented. At the end of the plenary session workshops in 10 scientific areas were held: “Global and national economics”, “Information technologies in modern economy”, “Modern trends in development of economics and law”, “Finance, monetary circulation and credit”, “Accounting, analysis and audit in the context of digitalization of the economy”, “Commercial activities and logistics”, “Merchandising, expertise, quality and competitiveness of goods”, “New paradigms for development of marketing tools in the context of transformation of modern economy”, “Sociocultural problems and development trends of modern society”, “Innovative entrepreneurship”.
Forum of Young Scientists is a good opportunity to reflect interests of young representatives of modern economic science, give them the opportunity to reveal their developments and approaches to solving urgent problems of economy.
May 18, 2022 the XII International Championship of Start-UP projects “Youth and Entrepreneurship” was held at BTEU at the premises of Center of Entrepreneurial Initiatives Development “SMART-caffe” with the support of Committee of Economy and General Directorate of Ideological Work, Culture and Youth Affairs of Gomel Regional Executive Committee. The opening of the Championship was attended by the head of General Directorate for Ideological Work, Culture and Youth Affairs of Gomel Regional Executive Committee Ezersky Denis. 19 Start-UP projects of 17 teams from the Republic of Belarus, Russia and Kazakhstan were presented for consideration of the jury. The projects were awarded in various categories: “Best IT Project”, “Best Project in Trade and Public Catering”, etc.
March 25 and April 22, 2022 lectures by Professor of Finance John Frederick Davis (Great Britain) were held for students of specialty “Global Economics” on the topics “Culture and Business” and “Measuring strategic performance in the age of e-business”.
April 20, 2022 BTEU hosted International scientific and practical conference for students “Innovative potential of youth in modern world”. The Vice-Rector for Research K.Bahrantsava made a welcoming speech.
December 21, 2021 a monitoring of international activity by representatives of the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Belarus, the Republican Institute of Higher Education and Belcoopsoyuz was held at the University.
During the monitoring achieved results of implementation of SMART project and promising directions of work of SMART-cafe organized at the University were presented.
The monitoring participants visited SMART-cafe, got acquainted with its material and technical base, and also communicated with the students involved in the work of SMART-cafe.
December 17, 2021 BTEU hosted International internet conference for bachelor and master students “Actual problems of global economy and management”. Bachelor and master students from universities of Belarus, Russia and Ukraine presented their papers at the plenary session of the conference.
November 09, 2021 BTEU hosted International scientific methodological online conference “Science and practice: actual problems and prospects of development of merchandising” and the VII Pisarenko Readings “Efficiency of the sphere of goods circulation and labor”. A welcoming speech to the participants was made by the Vice-Rector for Research K.Bahrantsava.
September 24, 2021 National Erasmus+ Office in Belarus held a regional workshop “Best Practices of Erasmus+ Projects in Gomel Region” which took place at Belarusian Trade and Economics University of Consumer Cooperatives.
The workshop was attended by representatives of the universities of Gomel city and Gomel region. In frames of the workshop Head of International Relations Department of BTEU Aksana Smirnova presented a report “Experience of implementing SMART project at BTEU”. The guests were also given a tour around the university and got acquainted with resources of Center for Entrepreneurship Initiatives SMART-cafe.
September 14, 2021 opening ceremony of the first Center of Moroccan Culture in the Republic of Belarus was held at Belarusian Trade and Economics University of Consumer Cooperatives. Opening of the center became a logical continuation of longstanding cooperation and friendship with the Moroccan association “Dima Maghrib”. Students from Morocco have been studying at the university since 2019. This year 26 more Moroccan students came to the University for study.
Rector of the University Doctor of Economics, Professor Sviatlana Lebedzeva made a welcoming speech at the opening ceremony. President of association “Dima Maghrib” Mr. Hassan El Mardi congratulated students on this significant event as well.
Acquaintance with this wonderful country continued with incendiary Moroccan dances, national songs and show of traditional costumes. In return, our students sang Belarusian songs. The event ended with a Moroccan tea party, during which everyone could not only touch the culture of this distant country, but also taste one of its most popular sweets – chebakias.
May 13, 2021 an online meeting of the administration and academic staff of BTEU with representatives of the Modi University of Science and Technology (India) was held. Parties discussed issues of international cooperation development in the field of science, education, academic mobility and double degree programs. As a result of the meeting, parties reached an agreement on organization of online lectures during the 1st semester of the 2021/2022 academic year. 
March 25, 2021 International online conference “Horizons of Intercultural Communication between Morocco and Belarus” was held. The conference was organized jointly with Ibn Zohr University (Kingdom of Morocco) with the aim of developing and strengthening skills of international and intercultural communication among students of both countries. During the event, Belarusian and Moroccan students told about their countries, national culture and traditions. This event became one of the promising directions of cooperation between educational institutions of the Republic of Belarus and the Kingdom of Morocco.
November 6, 2020 Dean of the Faculty of Business Administration of Lebanese Canadian University, Doctor of Business Administration Nahed Taha Rizk conducted an online lecture to students of BTEU on the topic “How to be an entrepreneur?” as part of SMART cafe and implementation of cooperation agreement with the Lebanese Canadian University.
November 4, 2020 a teleconference was held with participation of teaching staff of BTEU and Manara University (Syrian Arab Republic). Parties discussed the issue of organizing online lectures, as well as the possibility of joint publications and participation in international conferences. Online lectures are scheduled to begin in 2021.
October 21, 2020 Hassan El Mardi delivered a lecture on the topic “International diplomacy on the example of the Kingdom of Morocco” for students of the specialty Global Economics.
October 15-22, 2020 President of the Association “Dima Maghrib”, Treasurer of the Pension Fund of the Kingdom of Morocco, Hassan El Mardi paid a visit to BTEU. During the visit, Mr. Mardi presented letters of appreciation to Rector of the University, Professor Sviatlana Lebedzeva, Head of International Relations Department Aksana Smirnova and specialist of the II category of International Relations Department Natallia Svechnikava for admitting Moroccan citizens to study, as well as, for supporting the Association “Dima Maghrib” in achieving its goals.
October 12, 2020 a teleconference was held with participation of students of BTEU and Manara University (Syrian Arab Republic). Students of both universities presented their educational institutions, cities and countries, discussed student life, education systems of the two countries.
The teleconference marked the beginning of further cooperation between students of BTEU and Manara University.
October 06, 2020 in frames of cooperation agreement an online meeting of representatives of the Belarusian Trade and Economics University of Consumer Cooperation (Republic of Belarus) and Manara University (Syrian Arab Republic) was held.
The parties discussed issues in the field of organizing educational process, outlined promising areas of international cooperation in the field of education and research.
As a result of the meeting an agreement on organizing an online meeting with the participation of Belarusian and Syrian students was reached.
October 06, 2020 an online meeting of representatives of BTEU and Modi University (India) on the development of international cooperation in the field of research, education, academic mobility and the double degree programs was held.
As a result of the meeting, the parties reached an agreement on the organization of online lectures in the 1st semester of the 2020/2021 academic year.
September 21, 2020 online Erasmus+ SMART working meeting of partners was held. 30 representatives of universities and member organizations of the project consortium took part in the online meeting.
In the course of meeting reports on completed tasks of the project were presented, progress indicators designed to contribute to effective implementation of the SMART project were discussed. Partners shared problems arising at the institutional, national and regional levels, as well as ways of solving them.
June 25, 2020 online meeting of BTEU management team and “ARTIFEX” University (Bucharest, Romania) was held on the issues of development of international cooperation in the field of academic mobility, double diplomas, scientific activity.
June 23, 2020 online SMART coordination meeting was held. During the meeting project partners presented reports on achieved results, discussed relevant issues of the project. A work plan for the next six months was drawn up and approved. Detailed information is available here.
March 05, 2020 Head of the International Relations Department Aksana Smirnova took part in a meeting with representatives of Delegation of the European Union to the Republic of Belarus, which was held on the basis of Gomel Technopark. The meeting was attended by cooperation officer in the field of education, science, youth and culture Tatyana Pronko, a research and innovation expert Evgeny Vodichev, as well as representatives of Francisk Skorinа Gomel State University, Sukhoi State Technical University of Gomel and business community of Gomel. Best practice of Gomel universities in the field of developing entrepreneurial education and innovations, expert support of scientific student works and start-ups, cooperation with Gomel Technopark, as well as possible directions and activities of the European Union support programme for Belarusian universities, which is currently being established, were discussed during the meeting.
The meeting participants were presented with Erasmus+ SMART project, its goals and objectives, as well as the results achieved. In addition, the attendees were informed about the opening of SMART-Cafe on the basis of Belarusian Trade and Economics University of Consumer Cooperatives.
September 16-21, 2019 Vice-Rector for Educational Work Shablovskaya Tatsiana visited Beirut (Lebanese Republic) and Damascus (Syrian Arab Republic) as part of delegation of educational institutions of the Republic of Belarus to present BTEU for training foreign citizens.
During the visit to Lebanese Republic a cooperation agreement was signed with American University of Culture and Education. Shablovskaya Tatsiana also participated in the VI Syrian International Exhibition of Universities and Education in Damascus organized by the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Belarus together with the Embassy of the Republic of Belarus in the Syrian Arab Republic where she distributed advertising and presentation materials, advised applicants and their parents.
As a result of participation in the round table “Promising Areas of Cooperation in the Field of Education and Science” a preliminary agreement was reached on signing cooperation agreements with three educational institutions: Qasyoun Private University, Al-Sham Private University, Manara University.
September 12-18, 2019 head of International Relations Department of BTEU Tatsiana Valynets took part in exhibition of educational services “Education in Belarus” in the Republic of Uzbekistan (Tashkent, Bukhara, Karshi, Samarkand).
The exhibition was held under patronage of Embassy of the Republic of Belarus in Uzbekistan and Ministry of Education of the Republic of Belarus.
As a part of activities, presentations of educational potential of the university, counseling applicants and their parents on the conditions of admission and training at BTEU were made. In each city the exhibition was visited by more than a thousand students, their teachers and parents.
In August of the current year, an Agreement was signed in Minsk between Government of the Republic of Belarus and Government of the Republic of Uzbekistan on mutual recognition of education documents.
September 09, 2019 the Embassy of the Republic of Tajikistan in the Republic of Belarus hosted a solemn reception on the occasion of the 28th anniversary of Independence Day of the Republic of Tajikistan.
The event was attended by the Minister of Agriculture of the Republic of Belarus Anatoly Khotko, the First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus Andrei Evdochenko and other representatives of state bodies of Belarus, heads and representatives of diplomatic missions accredited in Minsk, representatives of business and scientific circles, Tajik students, as well as representatives of international public association of Tajiks “Somoniёn”. Rector of BTEU Lebedzeva Sviatlana and head of International Relations Department Valynets Tatsiana were invited to participate in the event.
A photo exhibition “Tajikistan is a country of high mountains and flowering valleys”, objects of national applied art, and the latest publications on the history and culture of the Republic of Tajikistan were also presented to the guests.
July 16-26, 2019 students of BTEU took part in Kvantograd International Children’s Engineering School on the basis of Quantorium NEL children’s technopark (Penza, Russian Federation) as part of federal project “Every Child’s Success” of the national “Education” project.
Opening of “Kvanograd” gathered about 250 young people aged 12 to 25 years from different countries: Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kazakhstan, Lebanon and Uzbekistan.
As part of work of the engineering school, students of BTEU took part in cultural and scientific-educational events, master classes on various topics, presented developed projects in medical and administrative-residential modules, visited Penza Technology Park, and got acquainted with the culture and education system of the Russian Federation.

June 25, 2019 a delegation of Odessa National Academy of Food Technologies headed by Vice-Rector for Scientific and Pedagogical Work and International Relations, Doctor of Technical Sciences, prof. Mardar M.R. visited BTEU.
Following the visit, an agreement was reached on cooperation between the higher education institutions.
May 26 – June 01, 2019 in frames of implementing directions of international, scientific and educational cooperation, Vice-Rector for Scientific work Bahrantsava E.P. visited the Higher School of Service and Trade of Saint Petersburg Polytechnic University of Peter the Great.
May 12-17, 2019 head of International Relations Department Tatsiana Valynets completed an internship at Polytechnic Institute of Portalegre (Portugal) as part of an inter-institutional agreement on the ERASMUS+ programme.
During the internship Tatsiana Valynets took part in the International Week, made a presentation on the topic “Belarusian Trade and Economics University of Consumer Cooperatives: Steps for Internationalization”.
She took part in a meeting with administration of the Institute and employees of international relations department with the aim of studying work experience, as well as discussing issues of international cooperation. During the visit she got acquainted with experience of Polytechnic Institute of Portalegre in organizing international mobility of students, teachers and staff, studied experience of implementing a quality management system in international relations department.
May 17, 2019 as part of the “Visiting Professor” programme, a visit was made by the Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Business Administration of Lebanese Canadian University, Doctor of Business Administration Nahed Taha Rizk.
Nahed Taha Rizk delivered a lecture on the topic “Public Relations” and also completed an internship.
Following the visit, a cooperation agreement was signed between Belarusian Trade and Economics University of Consumer Cooperatives and Lebanese-Canadian University, which involves implementation of various areas of cooperation between Belarusian and Lebanese colleagues in the field of science and education.
May 15, 2019 a ceremonial signing of the Memorandum of Understanding with Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University (Georgia) took place at BTEU.
The memorandum will contribute to the development of international relations and implementation of cooperation in the field of education and science.
April 22 – May 09, 2019 as part of the “Visiting Professor” programme, John Frederick Davis, senior lecturer of finance of the University of Birmingham, visited the BTEU and held a series of lectures for students studying economic disciplines in English and students of the specialty “Global Economics”.
April 23, 2019 John Davis was awarded the title of Honorary Lecturer of Belarusian Trade and Economics University of Consumer Cooperatives with presentation of a certificate for promoting development of international cooperation, improving quality of training of students in foreign languages and improving international ranking of the University.
April 22-23, 2019 head of International Relations Department Valynets Tatsiana took part in exhibition of Belarusian educational services “Knowledge Fair” which was held in Ashgabat at Turkmen State Institute of Transport and Communications. During the exhibition 21 Belarusian universities presented their youth educational services to Turkmen youth. “Knowledge Fair” was organized on the initiative of the Embassy of the Republic of Belarus in Turkmenistan with the support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, as well as with the assistance of the Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan and the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Belarus.
April 12, 2019 Natalia el Fassi, representative of Morocco visited BTEU. During the visit Natalia el Fassi got acquainted with activities of BTEU, material and technical base and discussed issues of establishing mutually beneficial cooperation for training Moroccan citizens at BTEU with management of the university.
December 20, 2018 Belarusian Trade and Economics University of Consumer Cooperatives was visited by Tian Di, Deputy Director of the XuTeli Educational Fund of China.
During the visit Mr. Tian got acquainted with activities of the university, material and technical base and discussed areas of cooperation in the field of education with management of BTEU.
For reference: The main goal of the China Educational Fund is to establish spiritual unity, talent sustainability, key qualities of youth and to promote development of education. The Fund is interested in creating a system of continuing education and supporting a constantly learning population through social protection and raising funds for these purposes.
One of the important strategic directions for development of international activity of Belarusian Trade and Economics University of Consumer Cooperatives is to attract foreign specialists to give lectures, conduct research, do internships or perform other educational or scientific work at the host university.
December 13, 2018 the Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Business Administration of Lebanese Canadian University, Doctor of Business Administration Nahed Taha Rizk visited BTEU as part of the “Visiting Professor” programme.
Nahеd Taha Rizk met with faculty and students of the University gave lectures on the topic “Increasing role of Internet in doing business” and “Socio-economic problems of Lebanon in the context of development of international relations” and also completed an internship.
The visit resulted in an agreement on the possibility of concluding a cooperation agreement between Belarusian Trade and Economics University of Consumer Cooperatives and Lebanese-Canadian University which involves a wide range of interaction between Belarusian and Lebanese colleagues in the field of science and education.
November 13-15, 2018 on the basis of the Catholic University of Murcia (Spain), a meeting was held between partners of the project “Fostering university-enterprise cooperation and entrepreneurship of students via SMART Caffes/SMART” of the ERASMUS + programme. Rector of BTEU Lebedzeva Sviatlana, First Vice-Rector Snytkova Natallia, Associate Professor of the Department of Global and National Economics Yatsevich Natallia and specialist of international relations department Smirnova Aksana took part in the meeting.
During the meeting the concept of SMART cafe model was developed, basic needs and necessary equipment were determined. A project work plan was discussed, as well as training schedule.
As part of the meeting university representatives took part in training on development of learning programmes for youth entrepreneurship taking into account the best European experience, studied the experience of the Catholic University of Murcia in the field of economic and entrepreneurial education, organization and conduction of start-ups with a view to its further application in BTEU, as well as experience in preparation, submission and implementation of international projects funded by the European Union.
November 16, 2018 BTEU students from Tajikistan conducted an information hour for the fellow students and university lecturers on the occasion of the Day of President of the Republic of Tajikistan and historically significant for the country launch of the first unit of the Rogun Hydroelectric Power Station. Alimardonova Farida, a Master student of BTEU told the audience about the youth policy of the Republic of Tajikistan and measures taken by the country’s leadership to create conditions for training Tajik citizens abroad.
September 18-23, 2018 Head of International Relations Department Valynets Tatsiana took part in exhibition “Education and Career 2018” in frames of Days of Belarusian Education in the Republic of Uzbekistan (Tashkent).
During the exhibition advertising materials about the University were distributed, interviews with parents of potential applicants were conducted.
According to the results of visiting educational institutions of Uzbekistan a cooperation agreement with Tashkent State Economic University was concluded.
September 13-16, 2018 Voronezh State University held a coordination partner meeting of the HARMONY project. First vice-rector of BTEU Snytkova Natallia and specialist of International Relations Department Smirnova Aksana took part in the meeting. Project partners discussed issues of preparing reports on the results of HARMONY project implementation, as well as, prospects for development and submission of joint project applications in frames of ERASMUS+ programme.
Besides, representatives of BTEU participated in the International Conference «Internationalization of Higher Education: strategies and practical tools», which was held as a part of the International Education Week: Voronezh State University – 100 years in history.
The conference featured global trends in higher education strategies in the world, framework model for internationalization strategy, and experience of the Republic of Belarus, Armenia and the Russian Federation in developing internationalization strategy.
Partners from Kassel University presented the tools for internationalization of educational programmes developed in frames of the HARMONY project.
September 10–12, 2018 International seminar “Problems and Prospects of Youth Entrepreneurship in Armenia and Georgia” was held at Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University (Georgia) during which participants exchanged best practices in the field of youth entrepreneurship. All project partners took part in the seminar, as well as, guests from universities of Ukraine and Georgia. Belarusian Trade and Economics University of Consumer Cooperatives was represented by the institutional project coordinator Dean of Faculty of Qualification Improvement and Personnel Retraining, PhD in Economics, associate professor Trusevich I.V. and assistant of institutional project coordinator, associate professor of the Department of Global and National Economics, Yatsevich N.V.
September 13-14, 2018 International Scientific and Practical Conference “Youth Entrepreneurship in the Eastern Partnership Countries: Formation of Experience and Development Prospects” was held at Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University. BTUE representatives made presentations at the plenary session of the conference.
September 8-15, 2018 organizational partner meetings of the project “Higher education institutions for youth entrepreneurship”/HEIFYE were held. Project partners discussed organizational issues of project implementation, work plan and the schedule of the follow-up activities.
May 11-25, 2018 at the invitation of BTEU John Frederick Davis, professor of Birmingham City University Business School (UK), conducted a series of lectures in English for students on development of international economic relations, international finance and financial reporting.
In frames of academic mobility agreement with Russian University of Cooperation in BTEU, a program of international student mobility has been implemented at Belarusian Trade and Economics University on terms of mutual exchange. 6 students of BTEU lived and studied in the capital of the Russian Federation – Moscow in May 2018.
During the period of study students have supplemented their knowledge on a number of economic disciplines “Economics of Organizations (Enterprises)”, “Accounting”, “Economic Analysis”, “Information Security”, “Financial Law”, “Office Information Technology in the Office of Economists” .
BTEU students took part in excursion to Museum of Cooperation and Library and Information Center of Russian University of Cooperation. As well, students met with rector of the university professor Gil S.S.
Considering that it was a mutual student exchange 6 students of Russian University of Cooperation mastered academic disciplines at BTEU together with Belarusian students. During the program various forms of training sessions, a sightseeing tour over the city, as well as, participation in various cultural and entertainment events were organized for students.
May 21-25, 2018 a delegation from Turkmen State Institute of Economics and Management visited BTEU in frames of cooperation agreement concluded between two universities. During the visit an agreement was reached on implementation of joint educational programmes, training, retraining and qualification improvement of scientific and scientific-pedagogical personnel. Head of Information Systems department Ivanov B. and Head of Finance department Mukhanov A. took part in the XV International Economic Forum within the section “Logistics and Trade” on the basis of Belarusian Trade and Economics University of Consumer Cooperatives.
May 13-18, 2018 Head of International Relations Department Valynets Tatsiana took part in collective exposition of the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Belarus in frames of the National Exhibition of the Republic of Belarus in the Republic of Tajikistan “Education and Career”, which was held during the visit of the Head of State to the Republic of Tajikistan.
In the course of the exhibition promotional and presentation materials about the university were distributed, counseling of applicants and their parents was carried out, interviews with potential applicants were conducted, an accord was reached on concluding a cooperation agreement with Tajik State University of Finance and Economics.
As part of Belarusian delegation Head of International Relations Department took part in the round table “Cooperation between Belarus and Tajikistan in the field of education”, where the prospects for development of Belarusian-Tajik relations and cooperation in the scientific and educational spheres were discussed.
April 28 – May 1, 2018 a group of students and teachers of BTEU took part in the excursion and educational programme “Higher Education System in Hungary and Austria”. During the visit to two European capitals – Vienna and Budapest participants saw famous Vienna Opera House, visited majestic Town Hall, took photos near the building of the Hungarian Parliament and the Royal Palace and enjoyed a delicious cup of Viennese coffee. A wonderful end to the trip was a walk on the boat along the Danube by glittering Budapest night. During the trip students and teachers not only got acquainted with the history, cultural traditions, economic prospects of European countries, but also received a colossal charge of positive emotions.
April 24-28, 2018 Vice-rector for educational work Shablouskaya Т.V. took part in exhibition of Belarusian educational services “Knowledge Fair” organized by the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Belarus jointly with the Embassy of the Republic of Belarus in Turkmenistan.
During the event, prospective applicants and their parents got acquainted with the available opportunities for obtaining prestigious higher education in Belarus.
During the grand opening of the exhibition parents of BTEU best students received letters of appreciation on behalf of the Rector of the University.

April 24, 2018 the second cross-sectoral meeting of partners in trade and services was held in frames of the project “SME activation in the cross-border regions of Ukraine-Belarus” funded by the European Union through German Society for International Cooperation.
The aim of the meeting was establishing a constructive and transparent dialogue between business of Ukraine and Belarus. Representatives of business from the Republic of Belarus (Gomel, Rogachev, Zhlobin) and Ukraine (Kiev, Priluki, Chernigov, Varash, Repki, Mykhailo-Kotsyubinsky, Slavutich) took part in the meeting. Belarusian Trade and Economics University of Consumer Cooperatives was represented by the institutional project coordinator Dean of Faculty of Qualification Improvement and Personnel Retraining, PhD in Economics, associate professor Trusevich I.V. and assistant of institutional project coordinator, associate professor of the Department of Global and National Economics, Yatsevich N.V.
During the meeting Trusevich I.V. made a report “Aspects of entrepreneurship development in the Republic of Belarus”.
Business representatives had the opportunity to communicate with each other in B2B format, as well as, to visit some enterprises of Slavutich.
There will be 3 more cross-sectoral meetings devoted to agriculture, transport and communal services, as well as IT technologies in frames of the project.
April 16-20, 2018 partner meeting of HARMONY project was held on the basis of Tomar Polytechnic Institute (Portugal). Rector of the University Lebedzeva Sviatlana and Vice-Rector for educational work Shablouskaya Tatsiana took part in the meeting on behalf of BTEU
During the meeting BTEU representatives took part in the training “Development and successful implementation of double diploma programs”, studied the best practices of Tomar Polytechnic Institute in the development and implementation of Strategic Plan of Internationalization and Action Plan of Internationalization.
In frames of the visit partners discussed the prospects for preparing and submitting joint project applications in connection with the upcoming completion of HARMONY project, as well as cooperation issues within the framework of academic mobility programmes.
April 12, 2018 BTEU hosted a delegation from Morocco – president of the Association of graduates of universities of the former Soviet Union Mohamed Fakiri and Vice-President of the Association Hassan El Mardi. Cooperation agreement between BTEU and Association was signed and a lecture on “Morocco: Economics, Culture, Traditions, People” was read for students and lecturers of BTEU within the framework of the visit.

March 15-17, 2018 Head of International Relations Department Valynets Tatsiana took part in the 18th International exhibition “Education and Career”, which was held under the patronage of the Ministry of Higher and Secondary Education of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
In the course of the exhibition promotional and advertising materials about the University were distributed, interviews with parents of potential applicants were conducted, an agreement was reached with representatives of recruitment agencies on conducting career guidance work and sending applicants from among the citizens of Uzbekistan to study at BTEU.
Tatsiana Valynets visited the Embassy of the Republic of Belarus in Uzbekistan. During the meeting with representatives of the Embassy, the prospects for the development of Belarusian-Uzbek contacts and cooperation in scientific and educational spheres, provision of assistance in the conclusion of direct inter-university agreements on cooperation with Uzbek educational institutions were discussed.
March 14, 2018 a working meeting of partners of project “SME activation in the cross-border regions of Ukraine-Belarus” implemented in frames of Eastern Partnership Territorial Cooperation Programme Belarus-Ukraine and funded by the European Union through German Society for International Cooperation was held at Belarusian Trade and Economics University of Consumer Cooperatives.
The meeting was attended by representatives of Ukraine including project coordinator, the first deputy chairman of Executive committee of Slavutich City Council Shevchenko V.V., as well as representatives of Chernigov Chamber of Commerce and Industry, business support centers of Slavutych and Priluki. Belarusian side was represented by project experts and business representatives of Rogachev and Gomel.
During the meeting participants discussed issues related to project implementation related to establishment of target groups and holding the first cross-sectoral meeting in Chernigov in which representatives of small business in production sphere from partner countries of the project take part. Project coordinator from BTEU is the dean of Faculty of Qualification Improvement and Personnel Retraining, PhD in Economics, associate professor Trusevich I.V.
