Development of approaches to harmonization of a comprehensive internationalization strategies in higher education, research and innovation at EU and Partner Countries – HARMONY started its implementation in October 2015.

December 17-20, 2018 the final conference “Internationalization Strategies of Higher Education” as well as coordinating meeting of partners within the project HARMONY took place at the premises of Moscow State University of Geodesy and Cartography.
Rector of BTEU Lebedzeva Sviatlana, First vice-rector Snytkova Natallia, Head of the Department of Law and Economic Disciplines Anatoli Karobkin, and specialist of International Relations Department Smirnova Aksana took part in the meeting.
During the conference participants summed up the project implementation in partner countries, presented the achieved results for each work package.

According to the results of the coordinating meeting project partners reached an agreement on submitting a joint project application in order to develop the internationalization of the knowledge triangle – higher education, science and innovation.
September 13-16, 2018 Voronezh State University held a coordination partner meeting of the HARMONY project. First vice-rector of BTEU Snytkova Natallia and specialist of International Relations Department Smirnova Aksana took part in the meeting. Project partners discussed issues of preparing reports on the results of HARMONY project implementation, as well as, prospects for development and submission of joint project applications in frames of ERASMUS+ programme.
Besides, representatives of BTEU participated in the International Conference «Internationalization of Higher Education: strategies and practical tools», which was held as a part of the International Education Week: Voronezh State University – 100 years in history.
The conference featured global trends in higher education strategies in the world, framework model for internationalization strategy, and experience of the Republic of Belarus, Armenia and the Russian Federation in developing internationalization strategy.
Partners from Kassel University presented the tools for internationalization of educational programmes developed in frames of the HARMONY project.
April 16-20, 2018 partner meeting of HARMONY project was held on the basis of Tomar Polytechnic Institute (Portugal). Rector of the University Lebedzeva Sviatlana and Vice-Rector for educational work Shablouskaya Tatsiana took part in the meeting on behalf of BTEU
During the meeting BTEU representatives took part in the training “Development and successful implementation of double diploma programs”, studied the best practices of Tomar Polytechnic Institute in the development and implementation of Strategic Plan of Internationalization and Action Plan of Internationalization.
In frames of the visit partners discussed the prospects for preparing and submitting joint project applications in connection with the upcoming completion of HARMONY project, as well as cooperation issues within the framework of academic mobility programmes.
December 6-8, 2017 partner meeting of HARMONY project was held on the basis of Belarusian State University. The First Vice-rector of the University Snytkova Natallia and specialist of International Relations Department Smirnova Aksana took part in the meeting on behalf of BTEU.
Draft of action plan of internationalization of the University was presented, as well as, topical issues of the project implementation were discussed during the meeting.
Representatives of BTEU took part in working session of project partners, as well as, in practical workshop “Effective management of academic mobility in frames of ERASMUS+ programme.”
December 4-5, 2017 representative of the University of Seville (Spain) Rafael Wagner visited Belarusian Trade and Economics University of Consumer Cooperatives in frames of partner meeting of HARMONY project. He delivered presentation “Innovative ways of modernization of the Strategic Plan of Internationalization of the University of Seville” (SPI). SPI is the fundamental document, which indicates the purpose, priority areas of international cooperation, strategic tasks in areas of activity.
September 24-29, 2017 the fifth partner meeting of HARMONY project of the ERASMUS+ programme took place on the basis of Russian-Armenian University and the Eurasia International University. The First Vice-rector Snytkova Natallia represented BTEU at the partner meeting. The agenda included seminar on the development of Internationalization work plans and a coordination meeting of partners. During the meeting the work plan of the 3rd project year was discussed and approved.
As a result of the meeting the best practices of Russian-Armenian University and the Eurasia International University in the field of internationalization of higher education and its further application at BTEU were studied.
April 19, 2017 a monitoring of HARMONY project of the ERASMUS + programme was held on the basis of Belarusian State University. Representatives of Belarusian State University and Belarusian Trade and Economics University of Consumer Cooperatives participated in the monitoring, as well as national Erasmus+ Office of Belarus.

March 27-31, 2017 the fourth partner meeting of HARMONY project of the ERASMUS + programme was held at Sapienza University of Rome (Italy). Rector of the University Doctor of Economics, Professor Lebedzeva Sviatlana, First Vice-rector PhD in Economics Snytkova Natallia and specialist of International Relations Department Smirnova Oksana represented BTEU at the partner meeting.
During the meeting there was signed a multilateral cooperation agreement between partner institutions of higher education from countries of the European Union and the CIS.
During the meeting representatives of the university took part in a methodological seminar on the development of framework of a comprehensive internationalization strategy and plans for internationalization activities, got acquainted with structure and management system of Sapienza University of Rome. During the seminar plan for the second year of the project and its implementation at the university was discussed and approved.
October 24-29, 2016 a meeting of HARMONY project partners took place in Thessaloniki (Greece) in Alexander Technological Educational Institute. Rector of the University Sviatlana Lebedzeva and Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Accounting and Finance Shablouskaya Tatsiana participated in the meeting.
During the meeting the participants got acquainted with the structure of Alexander Technological Educational Institute, listened to reports of the representatives of European higher education institutions on the practice of implementation of the internationalization strategy, discussed potential ways and internationalization techniques for higher education institutions of Belarusian Russia and Armenia, reported on the project results achieved by the end of the first project year and defined the tasks for the upcoming period.
In addition, Rector of BTEU Sviatlana Lebedzeva conducted preliminary negotiations with the representatives of Aston University (Birmingham, UK) on conclusion of a bilateral agreement between BTEU and Aston University.
As well, a preliminary agreement with the representatives of Penza State University for students and staff mobility was reached.
May 03-06, 2016 Rector of the University Doctor of Economics, Professor Lebedzeva Sviatlana and assistant of the International Relations Department Smirnova Aksana visited Aston University (Birmingham, UK) in frames of HARMONY project.
During the visit representatives of BTEU took part in a methodological seminar on study of internationalization level of higher education, science and innovation in countries involved in the project. 
January 11-15, 2016 in frames of the project Development of approaches to harmonization of a comprehensive internationalization strategies in higher education, research and innovation at UE and partner counties (HARMONY) Rector of the University Professor, Doctor of Economics Lebedzeva S. N. and First Vice-rector, PhD in Economics Misnikova L.V. made a visit to University of Seville (Spain).
During the visit they participated in the Kick-off meeting of the project partners. The meeting was attended by representatives of ministries of education of partner-coutries, senior officials of partner-HEIs as well as directors of various international centrers from countries as far as Spain, United Kingdom, Italy, Portugal, Greece, Armenia, Russia and Belarus.
During the visit a methodological workshop on the in-depth analysis took place as well. It was devoted to the issue of development of comprehensive research of the level of internationalization of higher education, research and innovation in countries participating in the project.
